Airsoft Product Quality Standards

In the airsoft industry, it is impossible and unrealistic for products to be completely 100% perfect. As long as they do not affect the product's function or performance and overall appearance, minor wobble, shake or movement of product components, minor scratches, dents or discoloration are also considered to be part of the standard quality.

Excellent option for the APFG MPX-K GBB! Highly recommended.

The most common complaint I hear about the APFG MPX-K GBB is that its recoil is somewhat lacking. This is understandable as the total reciprocating mass of the bolt carrier is only 160g with the nozzle (186g w/buffer rods). The Top Shooter CNC bolt carrier measures roughly 194g with the nozzle (or 220g w/buffer rods), putting it almost on par with a VFC or TM AR bolt weight. The kick is noticeably stronger by about 15-20%. You can feel a significantly stronger push into your shoulder/cheek and very slightly increased muzzle flip.

Rate of fire and gas efficiency is not impacted a significant amount (less than 5%). You can still get 4-6 magazines' worth of shots out of 1 fill. Cooldown is not impacted significantly. 34 grams of additional weight is not nearly enough to degrade the MPX's already great performance.

In addition, the durability is increased over the stock bolt and there's no chance of it snapping at the recoil rod contact point. The only thing to watch out for is additional wear and tear on the plastic bolt buffer. I would recommend purchasing a Black Variable MPX buffer to mitigate wear and tear and also protect the lower receiver from additional damage/stress. Overall it is quite pricey at $121 USD, but the added sensation of recoil with minimal loss to gas efficiency/impact on cooldown makes it worth it.
